Cog – Finally, Pick and drop with physics +video

Milestone achievement today! I finally figured out why my crane head was charging through the gems and not colliding with them! The issue was my tween, the animation from A to B meant it would ignore all physics and simply slide through the object, hence my gems were just being pushed out the way.

In the end I had to change the way “pick and drop” worked so that the crane was actually pushed downwards using physics and when it collided with a gem it wouldn’t go any further!  This has now fixed my issue, two days of head banging fixed with one little line of code, ARGGGGH!

Here’s a little video demoing the progression. You’ll also notice the beginnings of colour match destruction!

Oh and I’ve found my theme music which I think will fit the game perfectly.
