White Light – Day Thirty Eight

Keeping this one short tonight because I wanna chill out. All I wanted to do was try and create a little “fire”  effect using a glow stick. Holding it tight in a work bench the usual suspects came out to play, shutter delay and a bit of photoshop!

Hope you like

Danger – Day Thirty Seven

Without any models it’s becoming increasingly difficult to take night shots with subjects as I always become the subject and I can’t control the light camera and myself at the same time.

Introducing Woody! He’s a bit on the small size (come on, loads of ammunition for you there), he’s posable, he doesn’t complain and he’s free. He does however have a 6inch metal rod up his arse which is a pain for both of us.

So todays experiment was playing with lighting, glow sticks, positions and of course “bulb” mode.

I’d snapped the glow stick by accident and feeling the need to make the most of the situation I tried to incorporate it into today’s image.
I visualised someone carrying dangerous materials and so posed Woody into a carrying stance.
I used a desk lamp to create the bold spotlight and shadow just to help dramatise the scene. Other than that nothing new really, long exposure and a bit of Photoshop to darken the entire image. Oh yeah and a soft focus around the surrounding area.
