And… Sweet!

Was how I felt when we walked out onto the roof! Views for miles, right over the top of Leicester square! Amazing how small London appears when your looking down on it. There were obviously loads of shots to be grabbed from this position so I started firing the camera!
Spoilt for choice, every landmark could be seen from here, big ben, the dildo, bt tower, the eye and Nelson’s column to name but a few, with so much choice the only option was a panoramic. Unfortunately I didn’t have a tripod!

So instead I thought I would attempt to recreate those few split seconds when we first stepped out onto the roof.
I got the shot I wanted, using the London Eye as a focus point.

In the edit I tweaked the colours (there was a lot of dark cloud).

Colours done I felt something was missing, the “wow” or “woo, shit we are high up!” factor. I wanted to add that into the image so using tiltshiftfocus I applied a circular zoom focus. Focusing on the London eye and applying a “zoom in” effect around the eye I feel like it’s closer to that original feeling, although nothing compares to being up there!
